Alton Ingram, MD

Alton Ingram, MD, JD, MBA is a Nashville-based cosmetic and plastic surgeon and the founder of Ingram Cosmetic Surgery, a surgery-focused aesthetic practice dedicated to patient safety, individualized care, and natural-looking results. He is board-certified in Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery and has more than three decades of experience in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Ingram’s background combines rigorous academic training with extensive national and international surgical experience. He completed medical school and plastic surgery residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the country’s leading plastic surgery training program. He also pursued advanced aesthetic, breast, and craniofacial surgery training in the United States, Brazil, The University of Paris France, and Chile, including experience with internationally recognized leaders in the field.

At Ingram Cosmetic Surgery in Nashville, Dr. Ingram focuses on surgical procedures of the face, breast, and body, including breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, mommy makeover, liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, facelift, and eyelid surgery. His practice model is intentionally patient-centered: consultations, surgical planning, and postoperative care are personally directed by Dr. Ingram, with an emphasis on education, safety, and attentive follow-up.

Dr. Ingram has held leadership roles in cosmetic surgery education, board certification, and patient safety for decades. He has served as a trustee of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and as a board member of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He was an oral examiner and member of the written board committee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He co-founded the Cosmetic Surgery Patient Safety Initiative and has lectured nationally and internationally on improving safety and results in aesthetic surgery.

Through Ingram Cosmetic Surgery, located in The Chapel on Briley, a retired wedding chapel in Nashville which has hosted music legends from Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift, Dr. Ingram continues to build a modern, boutique surgical practice in Nashville that combines technical expertise, thoughtful judgment, and a highly personalized patient experience.
